Progressive Blackjack Games
Played with not just one but six full decks of playing cards, the fascinating game of Progressive Jackpot Blackjack is one of the more popular Blackjack games as there is a chance to win a large pot of money at some point in play. It is a variation of the original Blackjack, but utilizes European rules.
Bets in the amount of one dollar can be wagered as one way to win the jackpot. In this game the dealer must stand on every single soft 17 and must hit on 16s. Re-splitting is not permitted in this game. However, splitting Aces is on the condition that after the split only one card is received.
The only time insurance becomes available to purchase is at a time that an Ace is the dealers face up card. If an insured hand is split after purchased, then that hand is no longer covered by that insurance bought. And if a player doubles down thereafter, then the only part of the wager that is covered is considered the original wager.
In Progressive Blackjack, there is no peeking allowed for the dealer in cases where a face card or Ace is showing. This, also, applies if the dealer shows tens. One dollar is the minimum bet and fifty thousand coins are what the jackpots start at and progressively increase until a player hits it. Players have the option of placing more bets at $1 per bet minimum to attempt to win the jackpot. Three percent of the side bets are added to the growing total of the progressive jackpot.
Jackpot is hit when a player is dealt certain cards that, in most cases, consist of Aces within the same suit. For example, four aces in the same suit gives a payout of one hundred percent. Four aces in any suit, gives a ten percent payout of the jackpot. The amount of $2,500 is given to a player with three aces of the same suit and $250 with three aces in any suit. If a player has two aces in the same suit, then he or she will get fifty dollars and $25 goes to the player with two aces in any suit.
Regarding payouts for Progressive Blackjack, the winning hand has a 1 to 1 payout. On an insured hand, the payout is 2 to 1. A hand of blackjack pays 3 to 2 and at times when there are push hands, the player will get the original wager back.
Most of the standard rules of Blackjack apply in this style of game, however the additional rules primarily apply to the jackpot options that are available to wager on within this style.
